Hope For Swaziland

Imagine you are 7 years old. You have a 4-year-old brother and a 3-year-old sister... Now imagine you are the head of your household.
In Swaziland, this is more than imagination - it’s a reality for some 65 percent of children who are “AIDS orphans” – children left behind as the world’s largest HIV population continues to swell.

But YOU can help. The Apex Community is joining with Hope Chapel to send supplies to Swaziland orphans affected by the AIDS epidemic in Africa. Working with Adventures in Missions in Swaziland, we’re filling a shipping container with urgently needed items such as education materials, gardening equipment, medical supplies, and more.

Once the container is emptied in Swaziland, it will be converted to usable and valuable living space.

Please consider joining us as we wrap our arms around the people of Swaziland. The need is great but we know we can make a difference.

Materials needed include:

· School supplies – student supplies, furniture (chairs, desks), books, teaching aids such as posters, chalk boards, filing cabinets and other storage materials.

· Garden supplies – treated lumber, fence and fence posts, soaker hoses, rain water collection, garden tools.

· Medical supplies – vitamins, over-the-counter pain-killers, first aid supplies, anti-biotics, etc.

· Food – rice, non-perishable vegetables, canned fruit, etc., powdered baby formula, baby bottles.

· Build-out supplies: windows, door(s), solar panel, electrical, venting, paint, entry deck and overhang materials to convert the shipping container.

Alternatively, you may make a financial contribution to defray shipping costs. Please click here if you’d like to make a donation online.

Thank you! Your continued support of the Orphans in Swaziland helps to share the love of Jesus and improve the lives of children affected by the AIDS crisis!
